The impacts of Fair Trade Best Practices do not have the same intensity or effect from one organization to another. We will focus on our personal experience at an organizational level.
When did we start implementing good fair trade practices?
It began the second quarter of 2019, when the hand of PROMPERU decided to implement the Good Fair Trade Practices in our Management Systems. Since then, at the organizational level we have distinguished the following:
- Increased skills and competences: capacity building, involving workers and producers (suppliers). The level of implementation is measured through compliance with a worker training plan and a plan for strengthening relations with suppliers.
- Expansion of institutional networks: development of agreements, in the framework of compliance with our action plans, a process of expansion of the participation not only of our interest groups but also of state entities is promoted and encouraged, to strengthen joint actions and initiatives in favour of the community.

What initiative do we take to implement it?
A sample of this nourished institutional network was the campaign of Collection of empty containers of agrochemicals. It was organized and executed by: ASPAGRO, Chiara District Municipality, SENASA Ayacucho and Campo Limpio. With the aim of contributing to the protection of the environment and promoting sustainable agriculture, based on environmental education and awareness in the proper management of empty packaging of agrochemicals and compliance with good agricultural practices.
